Charlie had been treated at the shelter for his scratching and hair loss, which was most likely due to mites. Although his mite problem seems to be visually resolved, he will receive a couple more doses of Ivermectin. He had the spurs on on his front feet trimmed; one front toenail appears to have been broken or torn off probably due to being housed on a wire floor. Also, after he was reassessed by another exotics vet, he was put on a timothy based pellet with unlimited grass hay to try to get his weight to a healthier level.
