Long Top Teeth

Answered Prayers and Unanswered Prayers ...

Ok, we are back from the vet ... she is a lethal but she does not have a lot of problems. She has a head tilt so the vet gave me meds to treat it like an ear infection. She goes back in two weeks from today for a follow up to see how her tilt is.

She may be deaf. She did not respond to the vet snapping her fingers even right near her ear. She rolled up cotton balls and threw them at her, behind her, and in front of her eyes and she responded pretty well to that. So she may be slightly blind or not.

She has no bottom teeth but her top teeth are straight when they start to grow then one of them starts to go under. Her back molars are excellent. I have an appointment to get her front top teeth trimmed. The vet took photos of her teeth for me; they may not be the best since she was very squiggly for them. I am going to ask on Tuesday, while they have her under for a moment, to snap photos again before they cut her teeth and after they cut them.

When we got home from the vet, I put her back in her cage. She went straight for the pellets so that is a good thing. She drinks water wonderfully from the bottle as well. She has no infection that the other pigs can get so they said that it is ok for Snowie to stay with her just as long as she is not bullied. Oh by the way, we came up with a name on our way out. We decided on Pearl.
