"Tim's hair is straight and stands in every possible direction. To keep him clean we wash him regularly with a pet shampoo for small animals. And I 'comb' him with a soft toothbrush. Also, we'll probably take him to the groomers once a month. He really seemed to enjoy that and they were super special to him. The groomer knows how to cut nails. I'm a little squeamish about that, although I guess I could do it with practice.

Since he moves around quite a bit (albeit dragging himself), he does stay much cleaner than when we first got him. He used to lie in one place, and was really hard to keep clean. But now he zips around and that seems to help him stay cleaner. The groomer did trim his hair when he got his bath, so we'll keep an eye on that."
